The ASMI Postgraduate Summer School is a yearly event run by the Association for the Study of Modern Italy.
It provides a forum for postgraduate students and early career scholars in the field of Italian Studies to share their research and test their ideas.
Papers will cover a variety of aspects of Modern Italian history, politics, society and culture, from the eighteenth to the twenty-first century. Participants will present their papers in panel sessions and then receive feedback from senior scholars and junior colleagues in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Although the Call for Papers has now closed, postgraduate students and early career scholars are very welcome to attend. The event is FREE to ASMI members (you must be a member to attend, student membership is £20)
This year’s event takes place at the Università degli Studi di Milano on the 28th and 29th on June. Feel free to attend one or both days. Please see the ‘Programme’ tab for more details.
Advice of how to get to Università degli Studi di Milano can be found on the university’s website.
This year accommodation is provided at Ostello Bello Grande for all speakers on nights of the 27th and 28th June.
